(America/Toronto) $10.00 – $25.00The world has been greatly impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic and many are waiting in much anticipation for a vaccine and treatments. Many researchers are working tirelessly on COVID-19 research efforts and we have seen many institutions receive funding to support research studies. Join us for an evening of discussion on the important research efforts and highlight some Canadian researchers working behind the scenes on vaccines, treatments and we will also talk about how people can find out and get involved in these research efforts.
We are honored to have the following speakers:
Dr. Chil-Yong Kang, PhD, DSc, FRSC, Professor of Virology in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology, Western’s Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry: Dr. Kang and his team are widely lauded for creating an HIV vaccine and have been working on a vaccine for MERS (Middle East Respiratory Syndrome) – which is highly related to COVID-19.
