Catalina trained as a Microbiologist and Medical laboratory Scientist in Colombia where she also earned a post-graduate diploma in Microbiology and Quality Systems. She has lived the last 13 years in Canada where she graduated with a master’s degree in medical Biophysics from Western University, a post-graduate program in Management Development at the University of Alberta, and another in Executive Leadership with the adMare Academy.

Catalina has dedicated her professional life to creating and leading teams oriented towards solving health problems be it in a clinical lab, in oncology clinical trials at the Lawson Health Research Institute, as the Program Director of the Alberta Prostate Cancer Research Initiative, as Co-Founder and COO of Nanostics or as the Lead of Clinical Development at Entos Pharmaceuticals.
